Introduction :-
The purpose of this assignment is to develop students:
• Skills in preparing a presentation
• Skills in working within a team
• Skills in searching for and selecting appropriate resources
• Knowledge of health priorities in and across Australia
Preparation of presentations is an important skill relevant to the public health workplace.

Instructions and assessment criteria :-
This is a Group Assignment. You will work in groups of 4‐6 students. Once you have a group,work out the best way to communicate with your team members to complete the Assignment, (eg, through Blackboard Collaborate, Skype, telephone and email or other method).

Your group’s presentation will examine your understanding of concepts in public health. Please respond to each of the following points with approximately 2 slides.

a. Choose and describe one key Australian Health Priority Area (approx. 1‐2 slides)
b. Explain why this is a problem using concepts including:
• Evidence based public health
• Burden of disease
• Determinants of health

c. How do public health and primary care approaches to this Priority Area complement each other?
