PMT201 Project Management In Project Report 3 Part B: Project Plan – Torrens University Australia.
Context:
The production of a full Project Plan document will give students a sense of what it would be like to work on a real-life tourism project and should be written in a format consistent with that of industry project requirements. The use of the Statement of Work from the previous assessment as a guiding document to inform the Project Plan will serve to demonstrate how the different stages of a project (especially the early stage of planning) will flow thorough into the later stages and can ultimately impact on the quality of the final project outcome.
Instructions:
Students are to develop and prepare a comprehensive Project Plan document based on the Port Macquarie scenario provided in Assessment 2 and the Statement of Work submission for Assessment 2.
• The work should be undertaken in the same pairs as the previous assessment.
PMT201 Project Management In Project Report 3 Part B: Project Plan – Torrens University Australia.
The Project Plan should be consistent with the work you have already undertaken to produce a Statement of Work. In a real-life scenario, the Statement of Work and Project Plan would be two related documents which together form part of the same project. As such, both documents would reflect the same ideas and project planning approach to complement each other.
The document should be completed to the professional standard that would be expected for industry. Your Project Plan should address the:
• areas of scope, timeframes and schedules, cost, resource allocation, roles
and responsibilities, stakeholder engagement, communication and risk.
