• The strengths that she identified to support herself living with the experience of mental ill-health.
• Recovery goals that she identifies.

What is the task asking students to do?
The first-person /lived experience account to be examined is that of Mary O’Hagan only. Students are required to access the relevant parts of the book in the reading list under the heading ‘Assessment Resources’ (found at the bottom of the page).

The task is asking you to critically discuss what can enable nurses to work with people in recovery oriented and trauma informed ways.

Your discussion should consider the criteria identified in the marking rubric namely examples from the lived experience co-occurrence of other problems or health conditions and the strength and recovery principles that may support people with mental ill-health.

Instead it is asking you to give a balanced answer that points out mistakes or weaknesses and any favour able aspects of the subject of the question. The decision or overall judgment you make must be supported with evidence from reliable sources.
