Unit Aims :-
The purpose of studying classroom dynamics is to learn how to set up a positive classroom atmosphere where learners feel comfortable learning and communicating with other learners and with the teacher.The aim of this unit is to develop learners understanding of learning and development in groups and of the dynamics involved in this. Learners will understand the use of different management methods necessary to involve learners within groups in the learning and development process.

You are required to prepare a presentation for your team members who require further knowledge and under standing about classroom dynamics. You will need to provide speaker notes at the end of the session.

The following points need to be included when preparing the presentation:
• Analyse the characteristics of group environments that facilitate learning and development.
• Evaluate strategies to manage group dynamics.
• Describe ways to involve learners in the management of their own learning and development in groups
• Explain how to manage barriers to individual learning in groups.

• Minimise risks to the security, safety, health and wellbeing of learners in groups.
• Manage confidentiality in relation to group information exchange.
• Maintain records in accordance with legislatory and organisational procedures.
• Explain the tools that can be used to assess classroom dynamics.
• Explain how to use peer observation, student feedback and recordings.
