Background:
A multinational company called “Andrew & sons” has 6 branch offices around the world. Each of the branch offices has number of hosts.

This assessment has two parts, Part A and Part B. You must complete both parts.

Part A: Design an IP Addressing scheme for a given scenario.

The company would like to restructure their existing network into a new IP addressing scheme to deploy on their various branches.

This task has been assigned to you by your supervisor.
Host requirement for each branch is listed below.

• Branch 2 should accommodate 25 hosts.
• Branch 3 should accommodate 28 hosts.
• Branch 4 should accommodate 30 hosts.

You are given 192.168.50.0/24 as the base network address to design the IP sub netting scheme for the company.

Tasks
Design the IP sub netting scheme as per the above-listed requirements.

Task 1: Calculate the sub netting information.
• Number of sub net bits (borrowed bits) required to accommodate the addressing requirements
• Total number of sub net
• The new sub net mask of the IP sub netting scheme
• Number of remaining host bits
• Number of hosts per sub net
• Use able number of hosts per sub net

Task 2: Derive sub net work address
Derive the sub net work addresses as per the given answers in Task 1 and based on the following conditions.All calculations/methods that you have used to derive the answers should be included as part of your answer. Complete Table 2 with your answers.
• Use 0th subnet for Branch 1 Network.
• Use 1st subnet for Branch 2 Network.
• Use 2nd subnet for Branch 3 Network.

During the next five years, there were two other companies acquired by “Andrew & Sons.” Moreover,the company experienced immense growth in production, the number of branches, and the number of employees.

Altogether there are 8 branches now.

Host requirement for each branch is as follows.

• Branch 1 should accommodate 8000 hosts.
• Branch 2 should accommodate 4000 hosts.
• Branch 3 should accommodate 4094 hosts.
• Branch 4 should accommodate 2049 hosts.
• Branch 5 should accommodate 3002 hosts.
• Branch 6 should accommodate 4092 hosts.
• Branch 7 should accommodate 2000 hosts.
• Branch 8 should accommodate 1020 hosts.

The company would like to re-design their IP addressing scheme to facilitate this new requirement.

This task has been assigned to you by your supervisor.

You are given 130.100.0.0/16 as the base network address to design the IP sub netting scheme for the company.

Note:
Part B of the assessment should be designed based on the given class B network address, 130.100.0.0/16.
You will not be using VLSM (Variable Length Subnet Mask) in your sub netting scheme; assessment should be completed with traditional or simple sub netting.
