If you are doing this course as a workplace-based student, you will need to complete this role play scenario in your workplace during your assessor’s visit.

Discuss the requirements and time for this task with both your workplace supervisor and assessor.

Read the role play scenario ‘A case management meeting’. This scenario follows on from the Case study in Assessment task 2. The objective of this role play is for you to demonstrate conducting a case management meeting with the client and their family member.

Select one long term goal established in the Case Management plan you completed in Assessment task 2. Using this plan, discuss the long term goal and strategy with the client and their family member. You will need to ensure both the client and family member agree to the services and strategy you propose. Have at least three types of support services or options for the client.

The client in this scenario may be played by an additional class participant, a work colleague or by your assessor. The additional participant will be given their own instructions for the part they are expected to play in this task.
