Students are to demonstrate their understanding of the impact culture has on our communication style and diversity in the workplace.

Stage 1: Draft

– Students will be required to submit a 500-word draft on Moodle by the A 2 Draft link by Week 6 Sunday 23rd August 2020 at 5pm (AEST) (10 marks)

Using the content questions listed below, create a 500-word draft based on your understanding of the impact culture has on our communication style and the diversity in the workplace. Students will research and find at least 3 credible peer-reviewed sources through EBSCO database to use as references.

Stage 2: Final Submission

– Students will use the feedback from their draft to make changes and write a further 500 words to complete the 1000-word submission. Students are required to add in-text citations and a reference list using the articles, using Harvard Style Referencing. Students are required to submit the final version of a 1000-word report in Moodle/Turnitin at the end of Week 8, Sunday 13th September 2020 at 5pm (AEST).

Content and Structure
Intercultural communication is becoming the norm, as businesses go more
global. With businesses becoming global brings the growth of diversity.

Students will write a report discussing the impact culture has on our communication style and the diversity in the workplace and describe at least 3 advantages of a diverse workforce.

Detailed Submission Requirements

• Moodle/Turnitin submission
• 1000 words
• Title page including: Assessment title/number, Student Name/ID, Lecturer Name,Group number, Word Count
• Header/Footer details including: Student ID, Assessment title/number, page number
• 2.5 cm margins
• 1.5 line spacing
• Calibri or Arial font
• 11-12 size font
• At least 3 credible peer reviewed sources from EBSCO database.
• Use Harvard referencing including in-text citations and reference list.

Misconduct
a.The assessment will be submitted through Turnitin via your unit page on Moodle.
b. Turnitin is plagiarism software, which will identify if you have copied information and included it in your assessment.
c.Copying information from others (i.e. websites, partner company information, or other students etc.) without the acknowledging the author is classified as misconduct.
d.Engaging someone else to write any part of your assessment for you outside of the group work arrangement is classified as misconduct.
e.To avoid being charged with Misconduct, students need to submit their own work and apply Harvard Style Referencing (ask your lecturer or the learning support coordinator if you do not know what this means, or you need assistance applying it).

g.Use the AIH referencing guide accessible via Library and Learning Support Page on Moodle.

Special Consideration
a.Students whose ability to submit or attend an assessment item is affected by sickness,misadventure or other circumstances beyond their control, may be eligible for special consideration. No consideration is given when the
condition or event is unrelated to the student’s performance in a component of the assessment, or when it is considered not to be serious.
